nate_1979 9 #1 September 25, 2004 I'm getting a rig, and it has a Precision-Aerodynamics Fusion 210 canopy in it.. I've read other posts about this canopy (which there isnt much) and just cant seem to get a clear answer. The website calls it there "entry range 9 cell" but who knows what that means Nobody I know out here jumps one, or has jumped one, or really even heard of it, so I would just like to hear from anyone who knows what their opinion on the canopy is as far as being a "safe" canopy for someone who is buying a first rig. A 210 for me is about a 1.0 wingloading, and I think i'm an "alright" canopy pilot (but one who still has alot to learn). Alright pilot I guess meaning that I land on my feet every landing on a PD 210 and I feel comfortable with it. I am aware that it is going to be a little different, and I will get myself trained on differences between F-111 and ZP landings etc. before I fly it. From what I have gathered so far, it seems to be alright (someone compared it to a Sabre2) but just want to see if anyone else thinks different before I break myself :) Putting a different canopy in the rig is no big deal compared to me getting the surprise of my life as I try to land this thing for the first time FGF #??? koz2000 1 #2 September 25, 2004 I've got two Fusions and about 300 jumps on them. It is very similar to the Sabre2. At the wingloading you'll use, it's going to be pretty docile. You'll have a lot more power in the flare compared to PD210. The range of flare is pretty wide (ie It won't stall out very quickly). I wish Precision would push this canopy more. PM me if you want any more info. Dave .______________________________________________ - Does this small canopy make my balls look big? - J. piisfish 140 #3 September 25, 2004 I tried one that Jeffro Provenzano and Andy Farrington lent me when they visited our DZ in Switzerland. Slightly smaller than the one you are looking into, but I really liked the way it flies. As said above, the flare power will certainly be much more important than with a PD 210. But at a 1.0 wingloading, you will very certainly already have a great pleasure with it. Ask your instructors at the DZ and try and have a demo shipped to you (or some demonstrators visit your DZ) and get to try it. Wish you all the best with this great canopy.scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

blitzkrieg 0 #5 September 27, 2004 just wanted to add in that i'm in total agreement with Dave. i jumped his demo 120 and that thing rocks! for a semi, the thing cruises and is just as fast as my stiletto with nice easy front risers. of course i wingload it a little more than you'll be. ok, so i'm useless. ~E
nitrodan 0 #6 September 27, 2004 I demo'd a 190 and I'm buying a 175 that I jumped yesterday. in my humble opinion it flys much better than a sabre2 ( i demo'd a sabre2 twice and put about 25 jumps on them) nice flare and great openings I liked it so much I became a dealer.DAN SMITH www.skydivewichita.com
