I studied up on what all those little yellow stripes signified. I googled it and the one i came up with said first sergeant. I stand corrected. And yes I should know the other branches better. But I know the Navy ranks perfect. My uniform for two years could have really twisted your brain around.then.... Check out the instructors uniforms here in this.. from 1970.... 4 years later they were just the same when I got there and see if you recognize anything.
