Alternative Holiday Meal Plans.

Recommended Posts

They are traditional, but French-Canadian...

Cipaille, tourtière, pâtés de viande... MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm :)

Check out google images for "cipaille"... Layer upon layer of 6 different kinds of meat + potatoes + oignons + home-made pie crust that is pretty thick... YUM!

What do you mean, non-traditional? Homemade sausage and pickled herring are traditional parts of the smorgasbord! Followed by many, many cookies for dessert.

How many of you do untraditional holiday meals? Screw turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie!

My family always does fondue.

My parents always did fondue for Christmas Eve when I was growing up. I carried on that tradition until my wife found out she had celiac disease. [:/]
