Last accident I was in, a stupid kid tried to pass me on the right in a damned gas station, as we were both leaving. Idiot sideswiped the right side of my Jeep, with the left side of his truck. I called the cops; Cop arrived; Kid lied his ass off about what happened; And the ignorant cop gave *me* a ticket for reckless driving. You could tell just by looking at the damage, that the kids story was bullshit. I hired a lawyer and got the charge reduced, but not eliminated.

My Jeep now has front and rear dashcams. In that accident, a front-only dashcam would not have picked up much of what happened, since the idiot overtook me from behind, then rubbed along the side.
