dmace 0 #1 July 21, 2004 Hi Searching for information on this container has pulled up a few things about 8 months ago but with not much detail. Has anybody had any recent experiences with this container...have any new opinions? What's the build like, confort.....etc Am thinking about the Out rather than the In Thanks
piisfish 140 #2 July 22, 2004 just be aware that most riggers (at least in europe) will charge more for a repack of an OUt than for an In...scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
pbla4024 0 #3 July 22, 2004 We have about thirty Advance rigs at our DZ (mainly OUT, some old types and one IN). In ParaMag April 2004 is big article about all Parafun rigs (OUT + IN + Tandem). This year they added lateral cut and new padding etc. Do you have some specific questions? Ps.: I never heard about additional charge for OUT reserve pack, it is not common neither in France nor in Czech republic. Fido
dmace 0 #4 July 22, 2004 Just want to hear about the finish of the container really. Does it have the deflecters at the bottom of the reserve container in the main pod? Does it have internal riser covers like the Atom? Is it more a longer, narrower container or more square'ish? Good news about the lateral cut. Trying to weigh up the options between different containers on the market. What are the main differences between the Out and In, apart from the obvious reserve differences. Is the Out newer? pbla4024 0 #5 July 22, 2004 Finish and material of last version is excellent. What do you mean by deflector? There is piece of fabrics at bottom corner of reserve container to keep main risers in place. I'm not sure about internal riser covers. It is compact and not really long. Difference between IN and OUT is only system of reserve container flaps. OUT is older. I could scan this article if you want. Fido
skydiverton 0 #6 July 22, 2004 Riggers usually charge some extra for pop-tops with the pin at the backpad, not behind a cover at the same side as the closing flaps (like javelin and advance) I like the advance rig. My next rig will be one ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habit, Especially when you are jumping a sport rig
riggerrob 643 #7 July 22, 2004 Internal riser covers are only needed to satisfy three criteria: 1 - shallow external riser covers (i.e. Vector III) 2 - sloppy packing (all bets are off) 3 - fashion
