Last Saturday I dropped my protrack onto the road as I took my helmet out of the car (so I'm stupid). The unit wouldn't turn on after that. Tried messing with the batteries to no avail since I thought the contacts might have been disturbed. For $30 the DZ shop (ParaConcepts at SkydiveChicago) exchanged the broken unit with a new one on the spot. I thought that was pretty good dealer service. Took 2 minutes resetting my jump numbers and total time, and I was able to continue with no missed logged jumps.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
