Muppetdog 0 #1 July 11, 2004 The G4 closes with the left flap then the right then the pin, but I heard in some cases this could cause a pilot chute in tow problem if there is a little slack in the pilot chute bridle under the protective flap and if it were to catch on the right flap edge under there. I heard its better the go with the right flap then the left flap down then the pin because it can't snag the pilot chut bridle in that configeration when the chute is being pulled out of the right side on deployment. Any thoughts. Mirage has the flaps numberd left then right. MD MD
darkwing 5 #2 July 12, 2004 I'm hard pressed to think that you should do anything other than what the manufacturer says. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
diablopilot 2 #3 July 12, 2004 There is absolutly no problem with closing the container the way the manufacturer recomends. Anyone who suggests otherwise is giving you bogus information. I have closed MINE both ways and have not had a problem, YMMV.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Shivon 0 #4 July 12, 2004 The manufacturer knows what they are doing. You would be risking your safety to go against their instructions.
Tonto 1 #5 July 12, 2004 I have a G4, and I close mine the way Mirage suggest I do. tIt's the year of the Pig.
flyinfree 0 #6 July 12, 2004 That is what the little piece of velcro is on your bridle...mate this velcro to the peice under the main pin flap and you will not have a problem...It assures you have enough slack for the pin to be pulled
