Deuce 1 #1 July 8, 2004 I just picked up one of these with the light warning sensor. I got one cause Greg Gasson has one, and he said it was a good thing to have during his seminar at the Holiday Boogie. How do I set the first alarm? The new website is short on directions. Clay? You have one of these, how do I set the first alarm for 4500 feet? And the second and third alarms go off when? JP
Brains 2 #2 July 8, 2004 I saw greg's also and have been looking for one since. I can find the old time-outs but have not been able to find the light thingy. Where did you find one?? Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
Deuce 1 #3 July 8, 2004 I got the light thingy from the Most Amazing and Wonderful Keith Wyatt, Rigger and AFF Instructor extraordinaire. I don't think the folks at the newly Scot-owned Taime-ooot understand the camera flier demand for the LED version. They have a new stereo speaker out. Shoudn't be too hard to replace the speaker with an LED if they would just send you the connection.
freeflynick 0 #4 July 8, 2004 To adjust the first alarm just hold down either the Up arrow button or down arrow button. It will beep - one beep per 1000 feet, and a gap-and-a-beep for 500 feet (if that makes any sense!??). The other alarms are set - I think 2500 and 1500, but may be wrong........ Deuce 1 #12 July 9, 2004 Bonnie, I'm really grateful you let me trade for it. I'll ask you for a demo this weekend between running Gravity Gear and teaching AFF, taking care of Jet and Mathias, etc. I got my light thingie from Keith, but as you can see, there's huge demand for the item from camera fliers and deaf fliers over in the Skydivers with Disabilities forum. As soon as you find it, it is as good a sold.
dragon2 2 #13 July 9, 2004 Huh, I've seen a bunch of (new) Time-Outs, mostly Flashing Version, lying around in one of the shops at my DZ...... And also a bunch of the light thingies. Not an advertisement, I don't have anything to do with said shop, but this is their website: http://www.skydivesupplies.nl/ edited to say: I mean new as in not used, not the newest version TimeOut ciel bleu, Saskia
