mwabd1 0 #1 July 8, 2004 Alright I got my new (3rd) jumpsuit and it has a velcro strap on the back right below the neck. What in the hell is that for?

GravityGirl 0 #3 July 8, 2004 Yup. Your slider. I'm not a big fan of that type of slider stow. In the event you have to cut away after it is stowed, it is supposed to release. There have been cases when it did not. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
diablopilot 2 #4 July 8, 2004 QuoteThere have been cases when it did not. I've yet to see one. The Velocro system is by far the simplest system. I did quite a few cutaways when testing it. Released like a charm each time. I wear mine secured to the rig so I don't have to have one on every jumpsuit. I detest the ball and bungee type as it is a snag hazard for both main and reserve deployments, has a much higher breaking strength of the materials used, and does not guarantee the release.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
