Shmuly 0 #1 October 21, 2014 I'm as new as you get to this sport. 1 tandem jump so far, another tandem jump already scheduled and paid for this weekend. AFF in March when my DZ starts taking new students again. I'm excited about all of it. One jump and I'm hooked for life. Any tips on what I should do between now and March?QuoteI'm the kind of guy who stops the microwave at 1 second just to feel like a bomb defuser. Not sure what your financial situation is like, but if you have a wind tunnel near you (and some extra $ lying around), you could work on your freefall skills. Tunnel time helps get your body used to moving in freefall. Hope this helps, and welcome to the skies :-)You may never get rid of the butterflies, but you can teach them to fly in formation. I got to do tunnel time in university and got good at it fast. In my first tandem, I got complements on my arch and ability to control turns (about all you can do with tandem).I'm the kind of guy who stops the microwave at 1 second just to feel like a bomb defuser. The closest tunnel to you is in Chicago. Nice if you can get there over the winter, but not absolutely vital."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
