Hey all!

I'm progressing in Byron on my AFF (D2 is up next). Byron is amazing! I'm still getting fear noogies on the ride up. But starting to relax a bit more :)

Those apparrently are normal per most on here. I'm trying to get past mine still! But the sport is amazing and the friends you make are for life...

added: I love that comic series. Its pretty much my constant state that I get fear noogies until I'm out the door. Watching my old videos, once I'm out I'm all smiles and business... its the letting go I think

One day the door monster just goes away. It was around jump 20-30 for me. Now I love sitting by the door...can't get enough of it in fact.

When you need to arch just imagine fucking the wind. That's pretty much what you're trying to do.;)

My last two jumps were teacher jumps. My C1 was my first twist. Very much like the comic one. A couple turns and it was out. Happy to have one under the belt now :)
My D1 jump was great until I locked on at 6000. Right at that moment I started to spin. Seeing that I was probably near 5500, I signaled my intent to pull, and then...

... went upside down and missed my pull. There's great video of this :P. Instead of doing the roll-out-of-bed technique (something to practice on!) I reached again, pulled out my pilot and for whatever crazy reason, held it for a split-second. :S I think what was going on in my head was, wait, I don't want to be upside down. In that moment, probably because I had this pilot chute on one side, my body corrected. As soon as it corrected I tossed the pilot.

I think I escaped a bad situation (holding on to the pilot) by dumb luck. But just as you said, the sport or activity is truly amazing. I just need to relaaaxxxx :)
