jmiles50 0 #1 June 2, 2013 Hi, my name is Jon Miles, and I live in AZ. So, I went to Indianapolis to see the Indy 500. While I was out there my friends and I decide to go skydiving! When it was all over I realized that it was the single greatest experience of my life! I literally feel like it changed me. I will never look at another sport in the same light! I found this forum, and I haven't stopped reading since! I hope to get to know and meet as many of you as I can. jmiles50 0 #3 June 4, 2013 Yeah, I'm definitely getting certified, and have been looking into all of the different levels of certification! This is something I've always been interested in, and now that I've done it I feel like I'm a little obsessed:) I'm about an hour from Eloy. I definitely plan on jumping out there. I hear it great.There's also a DZ in a town a little closer called Maricopa. It was about $1350 or so to certify out there. Not a bad price. Thanks for replying. I hope to make a lot of friends here. skymama 37 #4 June 5, 2013 Before you go to the closest and cheapest place, check out the dropzone reviews. What kind of plane do they have? Do they focus mainly on tandems? Do they have plenty of student and rental gear? I can't say enough about the good reputation that Eloy has. I got into the sport because I just wanted to do one tandem to shake up my life a little and I was scared to death to do it. It sure did and that was thirteen years ago!
