jmwarren21 0 #1 May 23, 2013 Hi folks. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I just did my first tandem skydive this past weekend in Ohio. It was fantastic. and everything went well. During free fall, we had a bit of a slow spin going right up until the parachute deployed, but it was still amazing. I also had a little nausea after the chute deployed, but from what I understand, that is fairly normal for a first-timer. It went away as soon as we landed. But, overall it was a great experience. It was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done, and now I am hooked. I am anxious to go back for another tandem, then maybe take the static line course. My only regret is that I did not start this when I was a little younger. But, as they say, better late than never.

The nausea is common for first time jumpers so you'll be ok. HOWEVER, let's get one thing straight. The title of your post is "Hi, new skydiver from Ohio". You are not a skydiver, yet. So don't be posting on your facebook or telling your friends you are a skydiver. At this point of your lustrous skydiving career you are considered a tourist (those who keep the DZ's open for skydivers) :) The road to becoming licensed is exciting but remember it is not a race to become licensed or get the smallest canopy or get the shiniest new gear. You must be patient and dedicated or you'll be another 100 jump wonder or a statistic. Good luck
labrys 0 #4 May 23, 2013 Hi there! Where in Ohio are you jumping? Oh, and ignore anyone who says that you're not a skydiver. You've jumped and you want more. That's all it takes to be a skydiver. Welcome to the sport.Owned by Remi #?
jmwarren21 0 #5 May 23, 2013 Thanks! I jumped at Skydive Rick's in Petersburg, Ohio. It is the dz closest to my home and I had heard a lot of great things about it. They did not disappoint. It was so much fun and very addictive.
