Dacron Steering lines...

Recommended Posts

So I hooked up my new canopy the other day. it has Dacron Lines...there HUGE first off and pack up unbelievably large. My first thought is after the season is over maybe switching them out to Spectra.

anyway my question is when I hooked up the steering toggles they just dont look clean. My toggles are made with the small grommet for micro line. I still installed the dacron how I would micro line fingertrapped it...etc...etc...but they just dont look as nice as my Vectran does on my Safre. any ideas how to make these fat lines look good. I dont have any pics right now as my rig is sitting over at the future inlaws house.

thanks for any ideas....

Scott's stilletto...

I am pretty sure it's 500-600#...

PD manual says to look at the wings manual for Dacron instructions but does say that using the micro line instructions will work....wings manual says to look at the PD manual for Dacron instalation

I've never seen one with Dacron, cool beans!

I have 400lbs (I think) on my canopies control lines only, It's not too much bigger than 825 Spectra so I haven't had a problem with it.

You've done the fingertrap with a larks head to attach? You might try to finger trap through the grommet instead, so the loop goes around just one side....

You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
