bdev 0 #1 June 3, 2004 Hey all, Have the opportunity to buy a Nov 1999 manufactured javelin (TJN) Can anyone tell me if there are major differences in a 1999 Javelin to a new one ? - Any modifications I should be aware of and checking on ? Can't find info about the differences on sunpaths website. Thanks Dave.--- One life...Use it.
PhreeZone 20 #2 June 3, 2004 TNJ is a very small Javelin. It will hold a 135 reserve and a 150 main tight. Unless you are very small, this is not a good choice for a first container at all. The only major differences is that Sunpath has tweeked the design a bit to offer better riser protection and new options like the cut-in laterals, new fabrics and other little things. Only change I'd be intersted in is the new leg strap hardware that it to be more anti-slip. I jump a '99 Jav and there is'nt a thing wrong with it.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
diablopilot 2 #3 June 3, 2004 I think the reserve flap doesn't tuck in.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
Brains 2 #4 June 3, 2004 Hey eric, did the 99's have the bridle pocket on the right main flap? Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

PhreeZone 20 #6 June 3, 2004 My '99 Jav has a reserve flap that tucks in (I know.... I pack the reserve ) and a factory bridle flap. The tuck in came late '98 I think. Same with the main bridle flap.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Nightingale 0 #7 June 3, 2004 now that I think about it, my reserve flap tucks in too.
Brains 2 #8 June 3, 2004 I wasn't sure exactly when they started putting them on. Both of mine have em. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
bdev 0 #9 June 4, 2004 Thanks for all the replies guys, knew I could count on you! It does indeed have a Spectre 150 in it at the moment. (7 cell should pack a bit smaller so hopefully it's not too much of a tight fit) I'll have a good look at it this weekend, along with a rigger of course. --- One life...Use it.
