There are many good dropzones in the US. Your choice may depend more on the time of year and whether you prefer warm or cold weather. You could also try a couple of different drop zones. For jumping in the fall and on into the winter you might want to target a southern state, e.g. Florida. That would give you several dropzones to choose from within the state.

It might be helpfull to travel to an area that has a large Russian speaking community. I think New York would easily be the best, followed by Southern California, and my favorite, Chicago.

That would be the west coast (California). If you are on the east coast, you have to have the sea and a sunrise. Which is also really cool.

Or maybe Florida, which has both east and west coasts.
