Truculent 0 #1 June 23, 2010 Done a couple tandems, a few static lines and a few AFF jumps over the last few years. Had a premature opening on my last climb-out. Not fun. Nothing got damaged thank god. It's winter here so saving money. Hopefully make enough to finnish my A lic, do B-rells and get a cheap rig. That would be awesome. Truculent 0 #5 June 25, 2010 Thanks for the warm welcome. The rigger assured me that the closing loop wasnt too long. The plane was having engine troubles on the ground (C-182 from the early 70's I think). Possibly during the multiple reboardings the pin partially pulled. And I don't remember a pin-check on final boarding. The instructor filmed the incident. The canopy was only inches from the rear horizontal. Lucky I was way out on the strut.
