Which Swoop Suit has better range Tony or Bev???

My Tony swoop suit is just about done & it's time for another. I am considering a Bev since I was not too happy with the slow end of the Tony.

Has anyone had both a Tony and a Bev??

I am 6' 200+gear out the door.

I am 6'2" and 225 out the door. I have:
(2) Tony suits, (one almost worn out, the other ordered as a replacement).
(1) Bev suit RW suit with full wings, double-layer fabric and freefly leg cuffs.
(1) Bev camera suit.

I used to be a fan of Tony suits, until they seemed to lose the ability to give me what I asked for. I asked for a suit with full wings; They shipped it with *no* wings. I sent it back and asked for full wings; They shipped it back with a 1.5" strip of fabric added in the armpit.

So I tried Bev and am very happy. The RW suit works nicely for RW and freeflying. My ProTrack has recorded average speeds ranging from 110 to 162 on RW jumps.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I ordered my TOny suit with swoop chords, can't remember if I asked for "wings" (but I ASS-U-MEd it would have them). I came with the chords, but not really any wings. I am looking for a suit for small AFF students (don't really want to fly a camera suit though).

Years ago I also needed a suit that would allow me to stay up with anybody and ordered a Bev Suit with a loose fit, 3-in wings under the arm, double lined, poly cotton, cordura booties. And yes, it worked! I also asked for spandex on the forearms so that I wouldn't float up when grabbing a student (even Bev thought it was a bit weird) instead of cotton, and I've been very happy with it. I can pop my arms out in front of me and de-arch and stay with anybody, even if they weigh 20 lbs less than me and de-arch to boot.

The really only downside is that it's pretty hot in the summertime. It has also turned out to be my favorite suit for tracking dives because I can really track and also stay up as well.

The booties have just about worn out and I've thought about sending it back in for some repair (it's about 7 years old), but I hesitate to be without it.

The Swoop suit isn't supposed to be for faster fallers.

You might consider that the "Tony" suit (slower suit than the swoop) is better for your needs. Mine easily allows 110mph SAS avg speeds (6'1", 230lb w/o gear). I used a swoop suit many years ago when gravity had less of an influence on me, but the swoop suit can't do a job for which it is not intended.

edit - you can get the tony suit with the grip location/routing the same as the swoop/pit special, including inseam grips, if you ask.

Depending on what you weigh, you might want to look at a Flite Suit witha med/large wing and ask for the "ZP" inserts. It's not a camera wing, just a generous cut. Also get the Brandi Belt system. There's no better swoop cord system I've ever seen.
