But I can't. Anyone have any good contact information for Eureka BSD? (Makers of the FT50 Altimeter)

I'm frustrated.

Hmm, I've been trying to contact them by email myself, but no luck.. I need a new dial for my FT-50, so let me know if you reach them.

BTW, found this on www.ground-rush.com:

Eureka BSD - Makers of the FT50
Address: Les hurtevents - BP9
81170 Les Cabannes, France
tel: (011) (33) 563-56-12-57

They come in feet and metric units. I'm trying to get one sent back as well for a customer and have had no luck contacting them. JP, would you let us all know if and when you finally contact them and tell us how. Thx

Parachute Equipment Corporation at one time was the only designated repair center in the U.S for FT-50 altimeters.

I did a web search to confirm my memory and found that the listing still mentioned repairs however the website did not.

You might give them a call to see if they still repair them.

Isn't FT50 a french altimeter, and isn't it metric (or do they come in varieties)?

They seem to be fragile tho. One broke right on me in freefall, got stuck at 8k.. and I saw/heard of other occurences.

Mine isn't fragile. It's been dropped on concrete floors and other places way too many times, and hasn't stopped working.

Same here, mine has been through alot of abuse and doesn't miss a lickB|

I had to send a FT-50 back for repair one time, due to an unexpected water landing by someone who borrowed it. If I remember right, I sent it to Square1 and they returned it for repair and didn't charge me a dime:)
