Oh I know, I've done a tandem when it was about 60s, it wasn't HORRIBLE especially when we got into the sunshine. yea, I'm looking forward to then, unfortunately, I won't be doing that type of plunge that weekend. I'm actually involved in a fundraiser for the special olympics then! I'll be at Aquatica doing the Polar Plunge. We are going to take a quick dip into an iced wave pool to raise money for our local Special Olympians. Oh!! speaking of ice cold pools, NEXT Saturday, the 16th, I'm helping with a fundraiser with local Special Olympians. One thing I didn't know is that the special olympians depend on contributions from others. They, nor their families, pay to train to or be in the special olympics. So, I'm doing what's called the Polar Plunge. At Aquatica, they'll be chilling one of the wave pools and we are going to take a dip to raise some money for these brave kids and adults!! I've raised $50 so far!! If you want to join (it'll be a cold one!) or donate go to the link in my signature!! Oh yea, and all the "plungers" get to hang out at Aquatica for the rest of the day!! Raise $250 and you get to eat for free all day and 2 tickets to come back another day.

just dip in and get back out. Towels will be available RIGHT away. then it'll be warmer than today. Speaking of today, did you jump? My instructor said today was a no-go. But, I'll be out tomorrow, pending the weather improves. I bought some oh so sexy under armour. lol, and by oh so sexy, I really mean just skin tight.

but i did go ahead and pay for the rest of the classes so ill be there like it or not haha. I wont be there tomorow because i have to move stuff to my new appt in jax. But i HOPE to be here next thursday and sunday, m 2 days off work next week. Good luck tomorow if you jump, will you be out there next weekend a all or no??

No jumps at all this weekend... :-( oh well... next week. I'll be jumping HOPEFULLY Friday and Sunday. It'll be much warmer. Depending on the weather in the afternoon, I may do a jump or two then as well. So yea, we may just run into one another this weekend.

That sucks!! Hate to hear it. And i hate to tell ya this but its forecasting rain for sat and sun of next weekend, im prayin that it dosent although. I will definately be out there thursday all day, and i should be there sunday if the wheather holds, i hope it does, but well see.

Yea, I saw that too... I've definitely been keeping up with the weather. since it IS kind of important that the weather cooperates. I'm supposed to be doing the fundraising Polar Plunge at Aquatica on Saturday, and I'm not sure that'll happen either. oh well, eventually I'll start my AFF....

Yea i just realised that i work saturday, hence why im off thurs (totally didnt put 2 and 2 together on that one lol) . Im hoping to get a few jumps in then since the wheather is sposed to be sunny, i just hope the winds arent too bad. Yea i was wondering if they would cancel the aquqtica thing for rain, will they reschdule it im assuming? If. Dont jump thursdayy i may head to orlando and see about dong some tunnel time, idk yet, well see, haha

the tunnel is great to start working on honing some skills. did you go through AFF prior to being in the tunnel? I can recommend some awesome coaches for you there. My sister worked there for a few months, but then something crazy happened and the owner went on a crazy firing spree. it was insane. you know you can book blocks of time for skydivers and pay for coaching if you want to work on like back flying or sit flying or head down. whatever it may be.

Noopw i e only done 1 tandem and my lvl 1 aff jumps. I wanna hop in the tunnel just for kicks and to make aff easier. But thats only if the wheather sucks. If the wheathers good im jumping, untill i NEED to go to the tunnel to hone said skill.

how many lvl 1 jumps did you do? My goal is to finish AFF in under 6 jumps. :-) we'll see how that goes when I actually get to jump. lol

Soooo, I'll be out there on Sunday to do a few jumps. hopefully the weather will cooperate. Friday is supposed to be beautiful, so I was really hoping to be able to jump then, unfortunately, my instructor has to work at another dropzone as a videographer that day. :-(

Yep!!!!!! It was awsome!!!! Got 3 jumps on today. Had to repeat lvl 3 due to a low pul, my exits are still sketchy but i arch out fairly fast, im " one hell of a natural freeflyer" according to the 3 instructors i worked with throughout the day since nikki had to take off early. Met 2 new instructors today, a english girl and a dude neither of whose names i rember lol im horrid with names.

2 pieces of advice: stay away from low turns and try not to pull head downn it hurts. Made a real low turn due to wind shift that could have ended bad but i corrected and flared in time.

I might be able to still finish in 7 jumps if i cqn pull off some real fancy dlying and get lvls 4 & 5 done at once, which if i keep doing well like i have been in freefall its totally possible, according to my instructor. So well see how this next jump goes, mostly i gotta work on my crappy exits lol.

Might even schedule some tunnel time to tweak the FF skills.

I dont think so. It may have been it sounded like she went by he last name, bit them again i could be wrong. She was about 5'4 130lbs little longer tham shoulder length brown hair, with a black carbon fiber helmet. I only had her for my last jump since nikki had to take off, but eitjer way she was really cool, nice and helpful.
