chris03852 0 #1 July 29, 2009 Went to the drop zone with planning on doing my first AFF jump, ended up doing three. First jump went ok. Some problems finding the rip cord, 2nd jump went awesome , 3rd jump not as good as I wanted, when let go by instructors had a time keeping straight and ended up in the bushes in my landing. The good news is I know where I went wrong but I do need to repeat level 3 . Hopefully good weather tommorow and I can get a few more jumps in. By the way IT ROCKED!!!! thrillstalker 0 #2 July 29, 2009 good attitude. i just finished my aff jumps last friday. i had and instructor deploy me chute on the first jump. one thing that helped me relax was just deep breathing. anytime i started to spin i would do a mental check of my arch. first check you leg position and if they are good its your arms. good luck!!!"Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be." chris03852 0 #4 July 29, 2009 Retook level 3 today, still had some problem getting stable but at least I know where I went wrong. Moved elbows and not shoulders to correct heading and picked a position by looking down to focus on not straight ahead. Landing went great, right next to target and on my feet (better than bushes and a marsh). All dressed and ready to jump for 2nd time today winds picked up and all AFF jumpers were grounded. Learned a great deal last 2 days.
