Big Air Sportz dealer discounts?

Recommended Posts

I thought i'd read something on here a while back about being able to get discounts on big air canopies though dealers. Where can the post be found? And, is there a listing of dealers somewhere? Anyone know what the savings are? I also did a search and saw something about price reduction to 1499$, but on the Big Air Sportz website it says 1999$ retail.

Any clarification or links would be helpful.
thx.

All PD dealers are now also Big Air dealers.

Expect approximately 20% off retail list if you buy through one of the bigger ones.

Hi, Lisa.. so, is list 1499 or 1999$? Looks like 1999$ on the website, I assume the 1499$ thing was a deal that was limited time? 20% off of 1999 would give a price of about 1600$ which is higher than the 1499$. I guess the best time to order was last year, huh? :p

Thanks:)
angela.

I'd assume that $1999 is the current list price... especially considering the current list price of other main canopies (most of which are either pushing the $2k mark or have already gone beyond it). I'd expect that price to increase in the near future since PD is raising their prices effective June 4th, and PD builds the majority of Big Air's canopies in their factory.

You didn't ask but I'd also assume the same delivery time for custom as if you were ordering a PD canopy.

The $1499 was a deal that Brian had for instructors only and it was for a limited time only. I think it was over in March of 2003. Raw supply prices have gone up since then so canopy prices have climbed too.

Last I heard from Brian he was going to be in Sweeden for another 2 weeks or so with limited email access while he was gone.

The pricing model has varied _a lot_.

When I bought my Samurai last March the price to everyone was $1499 direct or through your field rep. The kill-line slider, Slinks, and stainless steel grommets were each $30 options. Depending on size the net price was an uninteresting ammount more or less than a Vengance with the standard 20% discount from any major dealer.
