Andy0689 0 #1 February 10, 2009 Been lurking around here for a few weeks and figure it's time to formally say hello. I just finished AFF at Skydive Atlanta on Saturday this past weekend and did an 8th jump for fun. I have 5 static-line jumps from a long time before I finally did AFF this winter. I can't believe I waited so long to finally take the AFF course but am so glad I did. Now, jumping is consuming my every thought! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and jumping much, much more in the years to come! I've enjoyed reading all of your posts so far and have learned a lot of great things to do and things to stay away from.Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube! skymama 37 #2 February 10, 2009 Welcome to the forums! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
hwt 0 #3 February 11, 2009 Congrats , but you did not mention the most important part. Did you bring the beer??
popsjumper 2 #4 February 12, 2009 Speaking of rentals and the St. Pat's Boogie, you can call Hans at Skydive the Farm (404-295-5000) and ask if he's bringing rental gear. We're closing down for the boogie and he just might be bringing rental stuff. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Andy0689 0 #5 February 12, 2009 Thanks for the info on the boogie. I'll have to look into it but don't think I'll have my A by then. No jumping for the next two weeks because of this weekend's crappy weather outlook and I'm single parent next weekend while the wife's out of town. And, yes, I did bring beer. Picked it up on the way to the DZ in the morning. I figured it was important to follow the rules being the new-guy and all. Bad thing is I couldn't stick around to help with the post-jumping consumption. Next time i will.Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
