jspace 0 #1 January 16, 2009 just another newbie to the sport... wish i would have done it years ago. i never thought something could be so fun. i'm getting ready for my first solo jump without an instructor.. i think its going to be kind of odd not having someone up there watching me this time. Peej 0 #2 January 16, 2009 Welcome to the forums! I think no matter what age people started skydiving they wish they'd started younger, i started at 22 and wish i had started at 18 And yeah, it'll be different not having an instructor with you but remember this is what your training has been preparing you for, stay calm, breathe and you'll do fine Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky

nmbrs555 0 #4 January 17, 2009 I just did my second solo, after completing the AFF course. The first one was a bit of a shock out the door for me, but by the time I'd finished the hill I was fine. My second was amazing. I'll feel a lot better about starting SDU training knowing I can keep control of myself without assistance. Even without an instructor present there were people giving me direction the whole time. Obviously your instructors had enough faith in you to clear you for solos, and so should you. How's that go again..."Shut-up and jump"!
