PigPilot 0 #1 December 20, 2008 Hello from Fresno, CA. I am new to the site. I have a whopping total of 3 Free Fall jumps to my name. My interests are primarily on the pilot side. I have a Commercial and Instrument Helicopter and Airplane rating and am a full time pilot. I am also a pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. I am looking to get into being a Jump Pilot. Just here to educate myself a little.
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #2 December 20, 2008 Are your jumps tandem or AFF? Piloting jump aircraft is pretty cool. Only time in aviation where you land with fewer pax than you took off withHow many times have you wanted to tell a passenger to get out of the plane in midflight? It does have its differences, you need to be very comfortable in slow flight. A good place to look is: http://www.diverdriver.com/ He posts here (DZ.com) too. PigPilot 0 #3 December 20, 2008 I did them AFF at Skydive Suffolk in Suffolk VA. I did them around 94-95 time frame.....At the time I was a young LCpl/E-3 in the Marines and ran out of money. Afterwards....I decided I'd rather drive I wouldnt mind getting back into jumping though. May day job has me flying a TC206 in 85kt. orbits all day.
