chiquita24 0 #1 October 31, 2008 Hello everyone! So I've made a few post here already, but realized I never really stopped by here to introduce myself. I did my first jump 4 years ago in mexico and I was hooked. I now have 13 tandems- I know it's ridiculous. I've worked at Skydive Ixtapa for 2 years and that's how I have so many. I do want to start AFF, but I just don't have the funds and don't know if I will for awhile. So that's me! Hi to everyone! Oh, and if by chance you're from northern Mn, I'd love to meet some people! Pokerstar 0 #4 October 31, 2008 Welcome! I live in the Twin Cities, and plan to complete my AFF in January at The Farm outside of Atlanta! I'm looking for some 'locals' to jump with after the thaw! FredFortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber. --- The Dude ---
LOSTandCRAZY 0 #5 November 1, 2008 Yeah, sometimes you have to visit different DZs to get what you need. My home DZ is Skydive Virginia! here in my hometown, but I had to go to Raeford Parachute Center in NC to get the level of progression that I felt I was ready for. I'm the type that needs CONSTANT challenge to progress, and I got it, there. They have a tunnel within 3 minutes, and boy howdy does that lend a hand with solo progression. By the end of my 40 minutes, I was pulling off (well, sloppily) 4-ways with my coaches. Not that there's anything wrong with the way they progress at my home DZ, but I felt like I had to LIVE skydiving for a few days to get the fundamentals drilled into my head, and it worked. With 8 completed jumps, my instructors said that I'm already freefalling at the level of an advanced "A" licensed guy. So yeah, maybe you just need some tunnel time to get comfortable with flying your OWN body?"Get these balls!"
