woady 0 #1 April 13, 2008 Hello, my name is Patrick and I am an addict. I'm 27yom from ATL. I recently had my first tandem tuesday after spending the last 10 years thinking about it and never having the time or money. Now I work for two fire departments and am going to Paramedic school. Now that I have money, I still don't have time, lol, but I got that jump in and have fallen in love. I'm looking forward to starting AFF and getting certified and getting as many jumps in as humanly possible. For those of you who have been a part of this sport for years with lots of jumps, I totally envy you, and I will always look up to you and any positive criticism you may provide me. Please don't be shy. You are part of a very beautiful sport I am very thankful for letting me be a part of it. I'm no stranger to dangerous stuff ((working for two fire departments, rock climbed for a few years, Rescue diver, and Cavern diver (the underwater cavern and cave kind)). I'm all about safety and making sure we all go home at the end of the day. Remember "1*" as we only have One ass to risk. I guess that's it. Be safe, WoadyYou know what's similar between Cops and Firefighters? They both wanna be firefighters.
skymama 37 #2 April 13, 2008 Welcome to the forums! Quote I'm all about safety and making sure we all go home at the end of the day. An attitude like that will get you far in the sport and will make people want to jump with you. Just remember it when you get your first taste of a swoop. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Get someone from your dropzone to let you borrow their issues of Parachutist or Skydiving from the last year or two. That'll keep you looking at the sky and moping around.SCR #14809 "our attitude is the thing most capable of keeping us safe" (look, grab, look, grab, peel, punch, punch, arch)
