Help Me out!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,
I have never been skydiving before or even been near a drop zone. I would love to get into it, ever since I saw my first skydiving video. Ive been obsessing over it for quite a while now. I am in great shape and am physically fit for it. Heres the thing I am 16 almost 17. I know you cant jump untill 18, but I would like to gain knowledge and information on the subject. I live in rural wisconsin and have a dropzone 30 minutes away, but as you know winter is coming, do people skydive durring the winter? I have all kinds of questions that i wont bring up right now. But i would like to know hom much i would be paying for AFF training so i can become a skydiver. Thanks to anyone who answers and gives me tips. Peace.

Welcome to the forums! :) AFF will cost you at least $1000, probably more. It would be best to give your dz a call for the prices. There is also a lot of gear that you will need to buy soon after you get your first license at 25 jumps. It's best to start saving now! Check out this link for more info.

Hey Wigs,

I just replied to your PM but in regards to your questions on this post...

Wissota is open all year 'round. After daylight savings time we are only open Saturday's and Sunday's. As long as the clouds are above 2500'-3000' and its warm enough for the planes to start, we're skydiving.

If you're close to Wissota, you can always do static line (vs. AFF somewhere else). Right now, s/l class and 5 jumps is $240 (unless you print off the $5 coupon on the website) and the 20 freefall jump package is $500. Granted, I would expect these prices to increase somewhat by the time your 18 (I suspect that fuel prices will increase, therefore, our prices go up so Bob doesn't have to take any more money out of his pocket than he already is).
