rigger exam question

Recommended Posts

There are several questions that pertain to "having performed duties under his/her certificate for at least 90 days within the preceding 12 months". Are they saying you must pack FOR at least 90 days in that 12 months? If so, do I have to pack a rig a day or what? Obviously this is a currency issue, but I didn't think you had to be that current. If you don't meet these requirements, what then? Thanks very much to any who can help clarify!

As for most FARs, this is up for interpretation. Things that count for currency may be but are not limited to: packing a reserve, packing a main, assembly, "supervising" others packing/rigging, seminars, sewing, reading an article/forum, etc. If you are at leat a little active in the sport you have nothing to be concerned about. If you "feel" you aren't current, seek help from a current rigger.
For further clarification I would ask a DPRE. I would recomment kirk@para-concepts.com
