LarrysJumping 0 #1 May 14, 2007 Well, my son Josh and I just started our jump lessons a couple weeks ago and are just about ready to start are AFF. Josh already posted and got a lot of cool comments about us doing this together. It is so much more fun with my son that alone. I can't wait for my other son to turn 18 so he can jump with us as well. I just can't believe how amazingly fun this sport is. Although we get a lot of flack from people who don't understand why we would do this. The people we have met so far at our DZ have been half of the fun of the sport. Dave, Roy and the rest of the gang at West Planes have made us feel very comfortable and safe. We really look forward to spending our summer with them all.LarrysJumping

LarrysJumping 0 #5 May 15, 2007 Thank you for the comments. I am paying to get them going in the sport, so the first few jumps, then they are on their own, but I'm sure I will help them as they need it. I have been interested in the sport since I was 17. I signed up to jump in California then and the day before my jump, two people were killed, so my mom would not let me go. Then for my 21st birthday I was signed up again and something else came up. I have wanted to go since. Then after having a couple back surgeries I figured there wasn't much chance of ever going. When my oldest son turned 19 he wanted to do a tandem so I signed him up and found out the Dr. thought my back would be fine so we did it together and we were hooked. We could not wait for spring so we could get started. So finally, at 51, I get to start jumping. This adds to my flying and SCUBA diving that I also do. My youngest son will turn 18 in November so next spring he wants to start. I can't wait until we can all go together.LarrysJumping
