kerrydale1888 0 #1 May 4, 2007 Hello skydivers of the worldMy name's Stuart from Edinburgh (Scotland), I've recently returned to the sport after a break of 15 years and wouldn't you know, parachutes are square now, whatever next, men walking on the moon? I completed my A license over in Seville at christmas and jumped my half century last week. I'm working towards my B and hopefully, weather permitting, I should complete it this summer? After my 1st jump I was told, "That's one more of us and 1 less of them", how true? Take care and blue skies to you all , Stuart. In love and life I hath no fear as I was born with Scottish blood. kerrydale1888 0 #3 May 6, 2007 Hi skymama, Squares are the real deal, i don't know why peapole would want to jump round anymore? I've gone from a PD280 to a Fury 220, I'm now jumping a Sabre 170, it's like going from a mini to a ferrari, there's no comparison? Will stick with 170 for at least a season, don't want to run before i can walk? Take care, Stuart. In love and life I hath no fear as I was born with Scottish blood. ImGunnaJump 0 #4 May 7, 2007 Hello Stuart and welcome to dizzy.com! Last year I came back after a 5yr. lay-off...I can't imagine 15! It's good to be back though, isn't it??!!Oh, and glad to see you won't let 'down-sizeitis' get you...many people have it and it's not healthy, in fact, it could be lethal!Blue skies right back at you! "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort."
