14000andfalling 0 #1 February 16, 2007 Firstly hello to all involved with Dropzone.com! I did my first Tandem jump with Carolina Skysports just under a month ago - 14,000ft from a Twin Otter - Resulting in one SERIOUSLY hooked soon-to-be-skydiver!! Based in England, I am booked on my Static-Line RAPS course on 31st March and can't wait! Depending on looming redunancies at my workplace, I may then progress to AFF or if the money isn't coming in as much as i'd like i'll progress with the Static. I have to say that during the short time I've been looking at the posts re: Safety, Dropzones and Cutaways I feel that I could 'top-up' my knowledge of the sport while I'm not at the DZ. You're story sounds like mine...hooked right after touching down on the tandem...but jsut remember...DO NOT use the info here without consulting an instructor first. Some peope on here dont know what they are talking about sometimes. When in doubt...even the slightest....ask an instructor. Jumpinjojo 0 #5 February 24, 2007 hiya m8 I'm the same as u did 1 tandem and then i was hooked, my 1st tandem was oct last year my 2nd tandem was nov my 3rd tandem was 4 weeks ago and i started my RAPS course on the 20th jan 07, i did my 1st static line a week later.
