Hi everybody.

Recommended Posts

I seemed to have skip this part, so here I go.
I'm a new skydiver who started about 9 month ago, I have 6'6" frame so I gave up on RW with anyone.
I can't wait to log for 500th and order that wing suit..
can you just imagine the surface area of that wing?

Welcome to the forums!

Iirc, there used to be a guy on here named TallGuy who must have been the same size as you, his suit was HUGE.

Also, do you know that with 200 very current jumps you can fly a suit? Check the sticky in the top of the wing suit forum for more info.

Cheers

With weights, a tight suit, or a hard arch you should be able to find someone who can match your fall rate. I don't think 200 lbs exit weight is so light even at 6'6" that you shouldn't be able to find someone to jump with. You can always look for a cute floaty light girl to skydive with.;)

In the US, if you make 200 jumps within 18 months you can start wingsuiting after taking a first flight course with a wingsuit instructor. It's fun, but even better jumping with other people. You could always take up freeflying too and should be able to have a good fall rate range once you get good.

Here's a pic of TallGuy's wing suit, he's 6'9"

I'm 5'9" and I only weigh 129 lbs so I'm pretty floaty too. On my AFF grad dive my friend Phil came along to video and had to work his ass of just to stay up with me. In a camera suit:o! I found that I have to arch pretty hard to keep up with the people I have jumped with too:$.
