Newbie 0 #1 May 4, 2004 and what's the procedure/cost involved? I'm interested in learning how to pack my own reserve, not anyone else's. If someone could break it down, that would be great. If anyone thinks this isn't such a good idea let me know why too. I'm keen to get a full understanding of how the reserve works and should be packed so i can take more responsibility for myself. skreamer 1 #2 May 4, 2004 QuoteI'm interested in learning how to pack my own reserve, not anyone else's. I wouldn't trust my reserve repack with a rigger who did as little as two reserve repacks a year. If you only planned to do two solo skydives a year is that current and safe? If you want to learn more about reserves why not ask a rigger if you can watch him/her repack a couple? Then if you are still interested you could look into getting your ticket with time. riggerrob 643 #5 May 5, 2004 Start by reading Poynter's Manual Volumes 1 and 2 (www.parapublishing.com). Then download as many packing manuals as you can find on www.pia.com. The bug your local rigger to let you sit quietly in the corner while he packs a few reserves. Then bug BPA to let you attend their next Advanced Packer course. Will someone please make these links clicky?
