parajumper1 0 #1 May 2, 2004 Does anyone know if the colored inner strand means anything? I've heard that it indicates the manufacture. If that's true is there a manufacture/color database/list?
masterrig 1 #2 May 2, 2004 You might look in Poynter's Parachute Manual. He gives a good description of various lines and color 'codes' As for the colors of the inner strands of I have never read or heard anything in that regard. The colored thread in the sheathing denotes the year of manufacture. You might contact National Parachute Co., they might be able to tell you. parajumper1 0 #3 May 4, 2004 Thanks! Found it there, it actually does refer to the manufacture. It lists a Military Bulletin 172 as the list of manufactures/colors. Now I need to find Military Bulletin 172.
