Hi from UK

Recommended Posts

hi guys, i posted for the first time on thursday, moaning that i missed the monthly london skydiver's pub meet, but figured i'd post here too! Did my AFF this summer in Voss, Norway which was simply the best week i've had. (I'm half English half Norwegian). Memorable jumps during AFF were through rain (its those pointy ends...;)) and when my Altimeter jammed without realising right away! Haven't jumped back in the UK yet due to transport issues/Uni etc....(why dont people just get given a car as a basic human right?!:P) anyway im keen get my A license and hope the fact that i did AFF in Norway wont be a major issue. I met Al and Pixie ( from Langar?) and a guy called Adam who'd just done his FJC @ Kjerag, but cant find any email addresses! Anyway im looking forward to jumping some more and meeting new faces!

Cheers,
Steffen

ps im based in Amersham and Cambridge, any tips on best places to go from there? otherwise i think i might just head to langar as thats been recommended a few times.

i've not jumped at any other Uk DZ's yet, but i intend to jump from them all as soon as i can

Langar is great, it is supposed to be the busiest DZ in the uk. You can always get on a lift within an hour midweek, and weekends is always nice and busy with lifts going up all the time (weather permitting of course:D)

Hiya, I see you're based in Cambridge - well the Chatteris DZ is near March in Cambridge. They're a friendly bunch, and very safety conscious. I can't recommend the DZ to you enough.
Hope the cross country AFF is no problem for you.
Best regards, Mike :o

Hiya, I just meant training in one country and then jumping in another. I think as long as the instructors are satisfied that you've successfully completed all aspects of the UK AFF course then you wont have any probems jumping in the UK at any club...
