Never tried skydiving--want to do it on vacation

Hi everybody,
I am going to New Zealand next week, and while I am there, I would like to do tandem skydiving. All my friends have done it and they say it is amazing.

I am so terrified though. Is tandem skydiving really safe? Is it safe in New Zealand?

It’s the kewlest thing in the world!
I did my first tandem two weeks ago! Right now I am saving up to start my STP training!!!
I’m sooooo addicted already! I can’t stop thinking about it! You should definitely go for it!
It will be sooo awesome! Hopefully the place you’re going to have a super otto plane instead
of a Cessna. It’s so much easier to jump out of. :)

I've never been to the NZ dropzones, but you can do a search in the forums for mention of them and you can also check out the listings in the dropzone listings at the top of the page.

Just so you know, you won't get that feeling in your stomach like you do on a roller coaster. It's more like sticking your head out the car window, lots of wind and a little noisy. Have fun!

The coolest thing about tandem is that you won't have to worry about anything... your instructor will handle all of the details so you can just enjoy. ;-)

Whats up? Sounds like you will be soon huh? Its the coolest thing a person could ever experience, not to mention the rush that comes with it. I did my first jump back in May and it was great as a matter of fact im going again soon its impossible to do it just once, and im sure you will go again. It is a very addicting sport so have fun and enjoy.
