asu_sun 0 #1 July 30, 2005 You probably see a lot of these posts, but, anyway. I've done one jump, tandem about a year ago, and looking to start working on a license so I can jump alone for cheap. My friends want to, for the most part, just do one jump for fun. Trying to convince them, or find others nearby, to go through the courses with. Curious if I should do another tandem with the group or go through AFF or something else while they just go tandem. Or maybe there are some other options I'm not aware of. Money is an issue so are there packages or cheaper ways to get the license I'll need? Also, I'm in Central Washington, looking for a good DZ nearby. So far I've checked out Richland Skysports, Blue Skies Skydiving and Skydive Snohomish. Any input on where to go?
skymama 37 #2 July 31, 2005 Welcome to the forums! Don't worry so much about getting your friends to jump with you. Dropzones are some of the most friendly places in the world! You will make friends in no time by just being there and hanging around. As far as which dz to go to, I'm not really sure but there are people on the forums who can guide you in the right direction. Send Amazon a pm and ask her, she's probably been to all the dz's you mentioned. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Amazon 7 #3 August 2, 2005 I would say if you are in Central Washington you really do need to go on over to West Plains Skydiving in Davenport WA... Great people and a Caravan to jump out of.. And if you come over to this side of the hills again.. come see us at Kapowsin and make some jumps out of the Super Otter ( jumping out of Pierce County Airport on Meridian Ave Right next to the Civil Air Patrol)
