MJG 0 #1 July 11, 2005 Just completed my first aff Level 1 and nearly sharted myself!! I couldnt find the rip and started to freak until about 4800 feet when I finally felt plastic, i let that go with all of the life in me! Looked up all was good...a little fear stricken from that issue but pumped to beat that down this weekend. This time nice and slow in finding that damn chute release. Good Times ahead! MJG 0 #3 July 11, 2005 Tell me about it, but a whole lot different from sitting on a dolly in the hanger though! Still the sickest thing ever!
Andy_Copland 0 #4 July 11, 2005 I just done mine so i know exactly how your feeling. I could not stop the grin for the life of me. Unfortunately my chute opened a tad wrong, was facing the wrong way so i had a quick scrap with the risers to get untwisted "I'll buy you a beer when my chute opens" - me "if it opens" - rigger *evil grin*1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.

If so how dangerous is it exactly? That kinda made me nervous...
MJG 0 #7 July 17, 2005 I cant reply for the guy who quoted that but its all part of the training you receive. You will see a whole bunch of circumstances and you are tested on what to do. I know its hard to keep your head when its your first time standing at the edge of the door with wlooking towards the front with wind gushing in your face, getting that nod and the floomp when your out falling at what 120 mph. with wind blasting you all around and focusing on the tasks at hand, three rip touches, altitude awareness, toe taps, and finally the peace out wave off pull, a thumbs up and dissapearing instructer......now sailing to the earth with iron man playing in your head as you grab your toggles and freak out because you have witnessed one of the sickest things ever. Mouth watering yet? On to AFF two today and cant for them blue sky's. This guys post was kind of inspiring, http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do%3Dpost_view_flat%3Bsb%3Dpost_latest_reply%3Bso%3DASC%3Bpost%3D1736159%3B=Next+Thread I sort of felt the same, but as I sit in my office with grey walls and miserable faces, I sigh at the thought of what am I doing this weekend.....hmmmm level 3, 4, maybe 5... So hike up your skirt and get ready to take life for what it is...I sound like an evangelist...in some wierd kind of way. CAN I GET AN AMEN MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!!!
