zx9rblue 0 #1 June 22, 2005 Hi All. Just completed first S/L jump at Skydive Opelika. Wife jumped too! Have to sell the Yamaha R1 now. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience can't wait to go back. First jump thoughts, I'm a big guy 6'3 250. They put some kinda chute on me called a HALO. When I looked up and saw that huge thing open, the first thing I thought to myself besides relief is "damn, I must look like the space shuttle landing" Great folks at Opelika! My housemate is also a big guy, he stands closer to 7ft tall though and and every time i ask him if he wants to come out and make his first skydive he says "Hell no, not unless they guarantee i get a cargo chute!"
