skydivermom 0 #1 June 1, 2005 Hi, my name is Kathleen Mayfield and I am a brand new skydiver. My sis took me for my birthday last month and now I'm in love. I start classes at Skydive San Marcos in mid-June. I live in the Houston area, but I'm in the hill country so often I may as well learn at San Marcos. I hope to make many new friends and learn as much as I can.Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:

skydivermom 0 #4 June 1, 2005 Thanks! I'm excited. My boys are 7 (as of July 2) and 3 (as of today!). My seven year old watched me jump the first time and was/is absolutely thrilled. He wants me to take him on his first skydive. My 3 year old cried from the time the plane took off until after I landed. I think he was scared of the noise. He loves watching my DVD and looking at the pictures though. Almost as much as I do. It's nice to talk to another Mom in the sport. I don't feel like such a weirdo now. Wish me luck on June 18!Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:
skymama 37 #5 June 1, 2005 Oh, we have lots of moms (and dads!) here. Do a search in the Women's Forum, there have been a few threads about women who are balancing skydiving and kids. I hope your little one had a good birthday, 3 is such a great age! I definitely send you tons of good luck and blue skies for June 18th.
