alxnder 0 #1 May 2, 2005 Just wanted to say hello, I have seen how tied this comminity is and is even hard to believe but really moving, I moved to the US years ago, but haven;t meet to much people, specially some who i may have something in common with, I'm new to the sport, actually I started my straigh AFF march 30 and I have been lucky enough to collect 14 jumps in the last month including all the instructor assited ones, It's been great so far, I'm really adicted to it I can;t stop thinking about anything else now than the weekend or excuses to call in sick so I can go to our DZ, everyone there is been super friendly and always willing to answer my anoying 100000 questions about everything, specially in manifest when i go ask if the wind is down every 10 minutes. I'm dying to get my A iicense so i can start learning to freefly which is what originally brought my interest to the sport, I love seeing people flying head down ad sitflying, I have tryied to sit in a couple of fun jumps, but the wind just takes me wherever it wants (although tha's fun too!), This weekend hoepfully there be nice weather and I can go get broke at the dropzone, Blue Skies to everyone ------------------------------------------------------- Danger brings fear, but fear... brings more dangers. alxnder 0 #7 May 2, 2005 Well I was born in Michigan although if ou hear my accent will be very hard to believe, then I moved to Peru for 15 years, then Mexico, Puerto Rico and finally to the US where it has been my safety zone for the past 8 years. It's nice to live in a contry where geting kidnap is not a thing to do on the weekend!!! ------------------------------------------------------- Danger brings fear, but fear... brings more dangers. alxnder 0 #9 May 2, 2005 Yes my father was a diplomat when he was alive, although my trip to mexico was pure rebelion, I paid it the hard way getting hostage by EZPL militia in a turist trip, but everything came out fine, they where nice to me actuallybut it was really scary at the time. and Peru oh my god, i feel as much peruvian as I am amrican because of all the years i lived there, lots of those people I still miss everyday, I go chance I get to pay a visit to my old friends. and te food..........espectacular!!!!! i still look around for peruvian restaurants everytime I go out to eat. I have found for some reason is harder to meet people here in the US, I went to an international college so pretty much eveyone moved out of town after we graduate, on top of that I just got out of a 4 year relationship which wasn;t to healthy I guess just to found out that most of my old firnds here are married or somewhere else. The dropzone has introduce me to some of the most ineresting people I have meet, not only beacuse theur love to skydiving but the instructors get all of my respect by choosing a lie where they can practice what they love everyday, that's the whole point of living in my point of view. ------------------------------------------------------- Danger brings fear, but fear... brings more dangers.
