seejanefall 0 #1 March 31, 2005 I've been in the sport for a little over a year and a half-- well, a year if you don't include the 6 months I took of due to breaking my ankle on jump #3 (static line #1). Piece of advise-- stay away from just harvested corn fields, they are not as smooth as they look!! Now I get to be part of the Shrapnel crew (a plate and nine screws) of my husband's motocross friends. My husband is on jump #99, so I'm looking forward to having a good pie-ing within the next couple of weeks. Now if it would only stop raining. . . _____________ PMS #

flyangel2 2 #3 March 31, 2005 Welcome to the forums and to the broken bone club. When you pie your husband, just make sure he has his gear off. Oh, and you might want him to sleep in a different room that night, cause no matter how many showers he takes, he'll still smell like pie.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

Peej 0 #6 March 31, 2005 Yeah, if it's going to happen it'll more than likely happen between 250 and 500 jumps, that's when you start to get a little over confident and the ground shows you why you shouldn't be. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
seejanefall 0 #7 March 31, 2005 I usually split my time between Wright Brothers and Skydive Eagle Creek (Ralph's) _____________ PMS #
seejanefall 0 #8 March 31, 2005 I'd read the statistic that breaking a bone happens once in every 2,500 jumps. I just got mine out of the way really early. . . _____________ PMS #
Amazon 7 #9 March 31, 2005 I was just at Ralphs about 3 weeks ago to pick up some used gear. I love going down there for the "retro" skydiving experience.. I need him to get the Beaver flying again this year.. we managed to talk him into flying it last spring when I brought some peeps down from Seattle.. I have been getting bugged by several people to get another road trip together to head down there. They want to check out some gear.
seejanefall 0 #10 March 31, 2005 Were you there on the 12th or 13th? I was jumping there on the 12th. Ralph wants to put a new engine in the Beaver, we've been chomping at the bit to get up in it. I always chuckle when someone comes out to Ralph's for the first time, their eyes bug out at the sheer magnitude of gear he has. _____________ PMS #
Amazon 7 #11 March 31, 2005 I did safety day at Kapowsin then headed for Portland, that was the 12th. Had din din with some friends at my favorite chinese restaurant out on Sandy Blvd. Next morning headed out to Mollala... got in one jump then headed over to Ralphs to do some business and got in a jump in the afternoon. The Beaver was soooo forlorn siting over there in the field next to the runway. Like I said some friends want to do a road trip... I will just watch the weather. Oh and if you want to do a Pink Mafia initiation dive..... I always travel with my Super Barbie.
 seejanefall 0 #12 March 31, 2005 Fabulous!
