skydivefive 0 #1 December 11, 2004 My first tandem was 4 years ago, and it was amazing. I was just reading a post where someone said they couldn't breathe when they jumped, and I have heard others say that too, but not me. I thouhg the air was fresh and cold. I remember thinking of how easy it was to breathe as if the air was forced in through my skin. Anyway, I did four tandems that summer, and then for a number of stupid reasons I didn't continue with my student training... until this past August. My AFF jumps were done in a few weekends, and boom, I was done. Now I have my A license, and I can't stop. I have close to 50 jumps now, and just got back from a trip to Florida. I have never spent so much money so willingly on something. I LOVE THIS SPORT! One of the most amazing things about this sport is how experienced jumpers give back to those starting out. There is nothing kinder than a D-licensed skydiver asking a new jumper to do a skydive. Thank you so much to every skydiver that reaches out to a new face and invites them outside to play. First, welcome to DZ.com....you will find many new friends here and it will be really fun to meet them in person when you go DZ hopping..... Second, you said a mouthfull about the big numbers giving back to the youngsters like us......I am and will be forever grateful to those big boys (and girls) who have passed on their air time, knowledge and expertise to me....it's one of the major things that make this sport so wonderful and fun.My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
