Mirage refit

Recommended Posts

Ok something to share, I sent my 2nd container in to Mirage to have it resized, I bought this container new 5 years ago and since then Offshore life has increased my size a little. This container was built on my birthday so I plan on keeping it for my 2nd rig.
The resize was supposed to cost me $225.00. But there are things that I did not consider and thus the price increased. The old harness could not be let out without them having to replace the entire harness, Then a new back pad had to be built, along with new stabilizer, and then since the harness was longer, none of the existing handles were long enough so they had to replace the housings and put new cut away and reserve handles.
All in all I just about got a new rig, The price was higher of course, $413.00
But for what I got I am not complaining, I had called and talked to Connie at Mirage and since they had not contacted me to inform me of all the changes this required they knocked a $100.00 off.
But instead of taking the discount they are going to send me a new set of 22 inch riser.
Connie and Justin was very helpful.
I am very pleased with the end results and now will have another New rig, Practically.
Anyway I just wanted to raise awareness to anyone else who may have to have this done, There is sometimes more to it than you may think.
Still here after all these years

Clayton
