lightningbugirl 0 #1 August 28, 2004 Hey everyone, how's it going? I'm Gwen! I'm scheduled for AFF #1 tomorrow. Nervous as heck, could never seem to find the dropzone from up there when making tandems! I know I sound like a woosey whuffo still, but how many people do you think end up having instructors actually do the pullin' when alt. is reached during the 1st? QuoteNervous as heck, could never seem to find the dropzone from up there when making tandems! Did you look at an aerial view of the landing area before you went up? That always helps me a lot when I go to a new dz. Focus on the way the runways are going compared to the landing area. Also look for distinctive buildings. If there is a pea gravel pit, look for that too. That's the thing that always stands out the most for me.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
