freeflyfairy 0 #1 July 29, 2004 Hello all:) even though i've only completed 2 tandem jumps, i feel a butterfly-like feeling in my stomach when i think about jumping again. i think this means i'm addicted! yay! next in line are my static line jumps. they're kinda freaking me out. i'm a little scared of exiting the plane all by myself and landing without injury. any tips on safe and pain-less first landings? and any ideas on my first solo canopy ride? i want to make it fun:):) When the people look like ants -- Pull. SkiD_PL8 0 #2 July 29, 2004 Listen to you instructor. That is the best advice anyone here can give you, and if you follow it you should have a nice landing without injury. Welcome to the sky and to the forums. Greenie in training.
NWPoul 1 #3 July 29, 2004 Hi & welcome to sport and forums! Skid right the best advice is to ask / listen your instructor carefully ;), discuss with him any ideas before you will try it yourself in the sky. Quoteany tips on safe and pain-less first landings? Quoteany ideas on my first solo canopy ride? i want to make it fun:):) So you want make it fun or you want to make it safe ? P.S. few tips on landing: - ask your instructor at which altitude you should start flare, than climb on something with the same height and ... no not jump =))) - remember how earth looks like so you will be more confident act on your first landing. - keep your foot together onlanding and a dont outstretching your legs to the earth at end of landing! I know your instructor certanly tell/told you these basic rules and it seems that it is very easy to follow them, but many people who thught so (including myself) broke this rules on first landings (becouse of euphoria or fear, and becouse the gear will try to move apart your legs). - IMHO the AFF program is more safe than static lineWhy drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly?
