Yet another newbie

Hey there. I've only been on about 5 or 6 jumps, all tandem. I haven't been in a financial position yet in my life where I can confidently commit to shelling out $150-$200 for classes every 30 days or less for who knows how long. But I'm getting married next year and after that I plan on shooting for my certification. I've gotten to level 3 at SkyDance in Davis, CA but thats as far as I got. Jumped this weekend at Kapowsin, WA. Asked my instructor if flips were out of the question. Cool chick had us do three forward flips out of the plane. KICK ASS!

Anyway, the way I found this place was during a search to find out how much a custom jumpsuit would cost. I'm already playing around on E-Bay to get altimeters and other gear, but I'm pretty specific in the jumpsuit that I want. Can anybody tell me how hard and how expensive it is to get a totally custom design jumpsuit?

Thanx. I checked the Kurupee site and they got some pretty cool stuff, but it's all freefly stuff. Don't think I'm quite that advanced yet. What I was thinking was an all black and grey suit with a red skull and crossbones across the chest. Seen anythying like that? Or will I have to learn how to sew?

Welcome to the forums! :) Most manufacturers will do any kind of special pattern on your suit that you like. Check in the gear reviews for remarks about certain manufacturers.

Welcome FM!

You definitely have the bug . . . I hope you come up with a good plan to save the money for your training.

As far as jumpsuits go, I'd stick with a used one for now . . . if you hunt (eBay, DZ.com Classifieds, local gear store) you should find one that fits. Sav ethe money you do have for your training! B|
