vamp 0 #1 January 28, 2004 So, okay. The other week I draft this fabulous intro for myself. Apparently I am click-impaired and the reason it didn't post is user error vs. being screened prior to going up. So fine. I'll try it again. No matter. I am a pseudo techie from Delaware, obsessed with the concept of hurling myself from a plane and eagerly awaiting warm weather. I have not yet actually jumped, but am also awaiting the arrival of my self-purchased gift certificate to CrossKeys (of course with video so I can see my cheeks flapping in the wind). I WILL be jumping in a few months. I started surfing through the forum to learn as much as I can from folks who have experience. And so far have come to the conclusion that y'all rock most mightily. I'm certain learning this will be the highpoint of your respective days. I'm harmless. Most of the time.

Raefordite 0 #6 January 28, 2004 Yo - welcome - enjoy the sport! Keep us updated and post a photo once you actually jump. I know that now you are waiting for spring and warm weather but soon you will own several layers of airworthy clothing and a heavy duty face mask. Thank you for the compliment to us all and I believe you will find, as I have, that skydivers are some of the best people you will ever meet. I think it has something to do with the fact that we all tend to be very optimistic people who leave their hang-ups behind in search of the freedom that only the air can give us. Oh, and ordinarily I tend to stay away from people that are "Harmless- Most of the time", but I have a good feeling about you. With that said, keep us posted throughout your parrells of becoming one of us! But keep in mind that you will never look back to the days of "non-airbath-ness!" Good luck with it.
