dragon2 2 #5 April 12, 2004 3 words... Ask your instructor. Personally I wouldn't load a Tempo at 1.4 at your number of jumps, or for that matter, at mine. Then again, that would have to be a pretty small Tempo ciel bleu, Saskia
nightjumps 1 #6 April 12, 2004 BillVon's checklist applies to reserves as much as it does mains: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/safety/detail_page.cgi?ID=
riddler 0 #7 April 12, 2004 QuoteAsk your instructor. Or your rigger. I've inspected a few different reserves and I won't buy anything except PD. A main might be fun to fly, but a reserve should be very high quality and be built to withstand just about anything. Flying a reserve for fun is not a consideration. diablopilot 2 #8 April 12, 2004 QuoteHey...just wondering what peoples opinions are about what reserve canopies are best. The brands you're comfortable with are good. I like PD Reserve, and Smart Reserves (Aerodyne) QuoteAlso...what is too much to be loading it at. Depends on your skill level and what kind of risk you're willing to take.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. RyanofOZ 0 #9 April 12, 2004 I just went through the decision process myself and bought an Aerodyne Smart. I did a lot of reading, and talked to a lot of riggers before I did. What I got out of it was PD and Aerodyne for a solid canopy.Oz
speedy 0 #10 April 13, 2004 Three letters: PDF or to be more specific, Techno reserves. Are they any good? I dunno really, I am no rigger, but I have had two rides on a Techno 128 and one ride on a Techno 115 (yesterday) and I found that they flew nice and flared well on landing.
